TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By hiring Neat Rules LLC, a client agrees to these terms and conditions listed below:

1. Privacy and Confidentiality

Neat Rules LLC offer a discrete and professional service. We adhere to the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) Code of Ethics and treat every client with respect and discretion. We will not discuss any matters with a third party without your permission.

2. Contract

Upon hiring Neat Rules LLC to come and work in your home or office a 50% deposit is due at the on-site consultation. Services will not start until client agrees to the terms and the deposit is made. The customer agrees to assist Neat Rules LLC by keeping appointments, completing homework assignments, and keeping a space decluttered throughout the duration of the contract. Not doing these things may inflate the cost and time to finish a job. The contract is a binding agreement between Neat Rules LLC and the client and should be adhered to by both parties at all times.

3. Payment Obligations

Clients can request up to three (3) flex-payments instead of paying the full price in one lump sum. Full payment must be received within five (5) business days of receiving a final invoice. Invoices will be sent to the client after each session via email. Packages are to be paid in full. Neat Rules LLC accepts credit cards, cash and personal checks. Checks should be made out to Neat Rules LLC. In the event a check is returned by the bank, a $50 fee will be charged to a client. Failure to pay within five (5) business days of receiving a final invoice will result in a 10% late fee applied to the balance. If the balance is not paid in full within thirty (30) days of the final invoice date, your balance will be considered a debt and interest will start to accrue at a rate of five (5) percent in thirty-day intervals. Once your balance due is considered a debt Neat Rules LLC has the right to pursue legal means to collect the debt and the client will be responsible for any legal fees incurred. Clients will be informed of fees and expenses well in advance of services starting or continuing. Deposits and payments are non-refundable.

4. Expectations

Every client’s needs and projects are different. Neat Rules LLC takes pride in customizing each contract to the client’s needs and we will give estimates for the project but cannot guarantee the final hours as the sessions depends on the `client’s situation. It is important that the client gets the most out of the project and so the main focus is for everyone to work efficiently. Here are some ways where the client can help make the process more efficient and stay within budget; the client should:

  • make clear decisions to purge, sell or repurpose non-essential items.
  • complete all “homework” assignments given before the next session.
  • be open minded about suggestions from the Neat Rules staff.
  • remember that if you haven’t used it, then lose it.
  • keep all areas previously organized in order.

5. Cancellations/No Shows

Clients are required to cancel an appointment 48 hours prior to their appointment time. With the exception of emergency situations, clients who cancel fewer than 48 hours prior to their appointment time will be billed the full cost of that days organizing session. Clients who do not show up or arrives to the site late will be billed for the full cost of that days organizing session.

6. Guarantee

Neat Rules LLC guarantees a more organized and safer environment upon completion of each session. Neat Rules LLC needs the full support of the client to achieve optimal results. If the client believes that Neat Rules LLC did not adhere to the contract and NAPO code of ethics, Neat Rules LLC will do a full investigation of the allegations and will supply a full refund for valid complaints. Neat Rules LLC cannot guarantee that clients will maintain the upkeep of the organized space. We can guarantee continued support and maintenance care to clients. Neat Rules LLC are not psychologists and cannot serve as a therapist for clients with extreme hoarding practices and/or emotional complexities. We suggest seeking professional help for these services. Time is limited to at a minimum four (4) hours and a maximum six (6) hours per scheduled workday. In our experience, organizing sessions of shorter duration too often do not produce optimal results. Neat Rules LLC guarantees at least two (2) workers at each scheduled appointment for large projects and one 15 minutes break for 4 hour jobs and a 30 minute lunch break for hours longer jobs.

7: Performance & Delivery Guarantee

Clients are required to be present during organizing sessions and to assist with the projects, unless otherwise agreed. Any other adult age 18 years old and over whose space is being affected (i.e. family member) should be present for the initial consultation. It is very important that clients and Organizer focus on the session. Therefore, clients must make arrangements for handling incoming phone calls, re-directing visitors, childcare, etc. so that sessions stay on track.

We will not throw anything out without the client’s permission. We help the CLIENT make the decisions, but the final decision is always the clients. Thus, the client is responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the discarding or destroying of any records or personal effects. The client agrees to make final decisions about disposing of items.

NOTE: Although getting organized is an ideal time to do any necessary home or office/place of business cleaning, we are not a cleaning service and are not responsible for that part of the work. Some projects we recommend having a cleaner to help with managing the dust which is harmful to everyone’s health.

We strive to meet a 100% client satisfaction level. It is our responsibility to analyze your situation, teach you appropriate new skills and help you make the changes you want. If we fail to meet any realistic expectations, we will schedule a complimentary session to make any necessary adjustments. All claims must be submitted in writing within seven business days of completion of project. Letters describing in detail what work, or parts of the project were not completed or satisfactorily executed should be emailed to hello@neatrules.com.
